Hullbreakers is designed to make the player focus during intense battles rather than planning customizations for scaling. Well executed combat is rewarded with faster takedowns of enemy waves and bosses, as well as increased return on XP and HP, as the orbs enemies drop contain both. The player must use their XP to level up wisely, as leveling up not only grants a new ship with new power, but a fully regenerated HP bar, and a quick, damaging teleport as well. Hone your spacecraft combat skills to reach a new high score each time. The only true limit to how far you can get is how well you master the strategy in combat.
