After many years of the same job, Messorem starts to wonder if there is more to their life. Messorem stops doing their job and the souls no longer have someone to guide them to rest.
One day a woman named Mallory arrives at the cemetary with her deceased son. In exchange for putting her son's soul to rest Messorem can finally get eternal rest themselves. To put the son to rest however, Messorem must gather his family for the funeral. The only problem is, the family is spread apart and the roads are filled with the frenzied spirits Messorem have neglected. To gather the family, Messorem must travel across the land and put all souls to rest.
