    About I Mother

    I Mother is a game without words that explores the genesis of written language and the evolutionary triumph of Homo Sapiens, all supported by archaeological research. It is also a story of triumph over adversity that explains why, to this day, roughly 4% of our DNA is Neanderthal in origin.


    No-language

    “For tens of thousands of years, our ancestors seem to have been curiously consistent with the symbols they used.”


    The entire game communicates with you using symbols based on archaeological finds ranging from 35,000 BCE to 10,000 BCE. The use of prehistoric pictograms is based on the groundbreaking research work of Genevieve Von Petzinger.

    The main character also communicates with you through her “thoughts” that use prehistoric symbols and original iconography.
