Afterlife Gladiator is a turn-based RPG with a strong focus on story and combat. The game is meant to be easy to pick up since characters have only 4 main attributes, battles are 3 v 3 and it can be controlled exclusively with the mouse if needed.
Our protagonists have become trapped in a purgatory-like realm along with many others who have died on Earth or were otherwise moving between realms. All they know are the rules for a competition and that the prize for victory is freedom.
The action mostly takes place in the arena; a large, open, constantly shifting area where victory can be reached by surviving until the end of the round. In order to avoid getting ambushed, moving constantly is encouraged. However, each terrain comes with a unique handicap for either the defenders and/or the attackers.
